Too Young

I did not vote this past election. But I have a very good excuse. I'm only 17. However, if I were eligible to vote, I would take the opportunity to do my part for my country. I am very proud to be an American, and I believe it's the people's duty to make sure the right people are leading it. Because I care, I don't want some idiot getting elected to represent and to make decisions for me and the rest of the nation. It is a very big deal but most people, especially young people could care less! I think this is wrong and very disrespectful to the country you call home. I am eager and excited for the day that I can go and cast my vote for the men/women that acquire to lead the GREATEST country in the world.

Mid-terms already?!

WOW! Time has flown by so fast! I can't believe I've already been in school long enough for a mid-term! It doesn't feel like that long ago when I actually got all of my books. Even though I can hardly believe it's here, I'm not very nervous at all. I'm actually anxious take the test so I can see how I'm doing in college so far. I believe I'll do just fine. I'm pretty much on top of all my homework in both of my classes and I'm not having any difficultly as of yet, so I see no need driving myself crazy by worrying about it. As long as I can make it to school on time without any TRAFFIC I'll be good. :)

Computer nerd?

I'm not big into surfing the Internet. If I want to do something I get on and get it done. I don't just go to Google or YouTube and start looking at random stuff like some losers! I mean, come on! Don't you have something better to do with your life?? HA! Usually the only time I get on the computer is for Facebook(which I don't do so much now that I have it on my blackberry!), and when I want to research or have a question for something I'll look it up. Also, I check my email, but I have my blackberry for that as well! I'm not into all the online shopping even though I hear you can get some really good deals. I don't play online or computer games, or sit in chat rooms talking to people. I just don't have time for that. If I want to talk to someone I'll either text them or call them, I'm not gonna sit at a computer for multiple hours talking to someone. Maybe one day when I'm a mother at home with my kids I'll use the Internet more often ;) HA!    

Music Videos

When listening to music I can usually pick up the message that the song is trying to relay but there are some cases when after I watch the video I realize that I had a completely different view on the song. I think that most music videos are perverted and weird! Especially videos with Lady Gaga or Pink. Music is very affective on me and songs get caught inside my head very easily. I won't even realize I'm listening to a song while shopping in a store until I walk out and realize I'm actually singing it! This can be annoying to me when songs I don't like get stuck in my head because of the rhythm of the beat and catchy lyrics. This happens a lot to me with Lady Gaga's and Pink's music. I don't like either one of them as a person but their songs are very catchy, and for a while I didn't mind listening to their music until I saw their videos. One that I'd like to talk about is "Please Don't Leave Me" by Pink. When I just heard this song I thought it was cute, about a girl begging her boyfriend not to leave her. I liked the song and enjoyed singing along until I saw the video...the girl was keeping her boyfriend hostage and would torture him and brake body parts if he tried to leave, it was really weird and now every time I hear the song I think of the video. It's strange and I don't enjoy the song like I used to.  

Frustration at school

Considering that I waited last minute to sign up and enroll in my classes, I had very little trouble getting into NCC. It was a little hectic getting everything ready and in place but I was able to get scheduled for classes that worked around my busy schedule, and I am very pleased with the teachers I was placed with.  However, a major frustration of mine has been the bookstore.  As of right now I still have not been able to purchase the right English book I need! Every time I walk by the store the line is clear out the door. It's the third week of school, what is going on?? Like I said I have a very busy schedule with work and other things I do and I don't have time to wait in line for 2 hours! Hopefully I can come on Friday when I don't have school, but wow, what an inconvenience!
